Man who ‘spent £20k to look like David Beckham’
A man who claimed to have spent £20,000 on plastic surgery to look like David Beckham says taxpayers will pay for his next nose job... and the rest of his life.
Jack Johnson, now 20, hit the headlines earlier this year when he claimed that he had LIED about his obsession with looking like the footballer in order to get invited on to daytime TV show This Morning.
Jack claimed he lied about splashing thousands on a variety of cosmetic procedures, including Botox, tanning injections, lip fillers and having his teeth done, in order to emulate the global star. Why the Royal Family never sign autographs
But he's now changed track, and decided that he DOES want to look like the footballer ace - and that his transformation will be funded by the state.
He told The Sun Online: "I'm going to Poland soon to have work done to my face to look like him and taxpayers will be paying for it.
"Taxpayers are paying for my champagne lifestyle and will continue to pay because I have got depression. The working class isn’t as white as some would like you to think
"I was diagnosed with a very mild case of it, but depression is depression.
"Why should I work when you can have David Beckham's lifestyle by just staying home?"
Depression can be recognised as a disability if it has a 'long-term effect' on your day-to-day activity, as defined under the Equality Act 2010.This is what happens when 100 Americans try to speak like the British
The Government defines 'normal day-to-day activity' as "something you do regularly in a normal day. This includes things like using a computer, working set times or interacting with people."
Jack told The Sun Online that he currently receives "£370-a-week Jobseeker's Allowance and Disability Living Allowance", plus his "£400 monthly rent paid" by the state.
With his saved up benefits, Jack has booked himself in to a clinic in Krakow to have a nose-job on 10th December, and also revealed he is going to have a non-surgical facelift.Your sleeping pattern could be making you fatter
He's paying for the procedures using backdated benefits that he claims were given to him after his money stopped due to a mix-up after he appeared on This Morning.
He explained: "I got back paid some money after my benefits got stopped about three months after I was on This Morning.
"People reported me as they thought now I'm famous I'm making loads of money. To improve your brain, have more sex
"I didn't get any benefits for about four months in total.
"I'm back on them now and even laughing more as I got back paid £4,500."
And it seems the lump sum has gone some way to making the controversial young man feel a bit better.Surprising things guys find unattractive
He said: "I'm loving life again and this time will be a look-a-like.
"I'm even going to change my surname to Beckham by deed poll."
Jack, who claims he had a "breakdown three months ago" after his dad died, also plans to take his bid to be a new, younger version of Becks on to the pitch and has started playing with a local team.Secret report about the Pope’s hospital
He added: "Only my friends and family know I want to be a footballer - I ain't told my social media followers yet.
"They might think I'm stupid, but I'm deadly serious and committed to having a lifestyle like Beckham.

But it's not just the regular exercise that he says will help him carve a physique like the dad-of-four's.
He said: "Next year I'm booked in to have a gastric band. Then when I've lost the weight I can try to be a professional footballer."
